It is with deep regret to report the passing of Phill Whitehouse who died on 7th June 2023.
He was a long standing member of the Deers Leap Bowling club and a former member of Ward End Ex Service club.
He will be sadly missed.

Alan Knight(New Inns Four Oaks)

ALan joined New Inns Bowling Club after a spell at the Yew Tree before the pub decided that a car park would be preferable to a bowling green. Alan continued to bowl for NIFO in the Over 60s for a number of years even though he was disabled and in pain after a serious operation.

Mick Johnson(New Inns Four Oaks)

Mick Johnson was a past President the of Warwick and Worcester County Bowling Association and, for a period, manager of the men's county team. He was a founder member of the New Inns Bowls Club.

Peter Richards (Boldmere St. Michaels)

Peter was a great member of our club, always ready to help out in any way he could, and will be greatly missed. He passed away on 31st January 2021


James (Jim) Hughes, Bradford Arms

It is with great sadness that we would like you to know of the death of one of the Bradford Arms long-standing members, Jim Hughes, who passed away on April 21st. Jim had been chairman of the club for twenty seven years, prior to him stepping down in 2019.He will be greatly missed by all our members and his bowling friends.

RON DONNELLY (Walmley Social/Forget Me Not BC)

It is with deep regret that I report the passing of Ron Donnelly. He had been battling Dementia for many years but I understand there were some Coronavirus symptoms present at his death. Ron will always be remembered in EBOS for his part in recording six consecutive doubles merit wins from 2000-2005. Deepest sympathy to his close family, friends and bowling colleagues.

It is with deep regret that I inform you of the passing of W&W President, Danny Wiggin on 24 November 2019. Danny had not enjoyed the best of health over the past 12 months and he passed away, in hospital, in the early hours of Sunday morning. No one was more enthusiastic about the sport than Danny and he will be sadly missed by the world of Crown Green Bowls. It is with deep regret that I inform you of the passing of Mick Mitchell. A staunch and loyal clubman with Great Barr BC (formerly the Beacon) who was always there to assist or help out. It is with deep regret that I report the passing of Steve on Friday, 26 April 2019. Steve was a very popular character on the bowls circuit, known with affection as 'Mad Dog'. George suffered a suspected stroke whilst having his practice on Moor Lane, before the over 60's match last Wednesday. He was taken by ambulance to Good Hope hospital. He had another stroke on Friday lunchtime which proved fatal. Deepest condolences to his family and friends. AUGUST 2014
